Snow in Provence!

Snow in Provence!

P1000131Big soft flakes fell all afternoon and evening to produce a carpet of snow 90mm (3.5 ins) deep. Very attractive, particularly on the cliffs in the moonlight later in the night, but fortunately not as ‘seasonal’ as the UK has suffered this winter. By 10 am the temperature had already risen to 7 deg C and the snow was melting fast. But unusually, the weather stayed cold and the snow & ice hung arounP1000136d a week, especially on the north-facing sides of the hills.
