Our clients come from all over the world – France, Belgium, the USA, England, Wales, Egypt, Holland, Poland, Chile, Switzerland, Germany, South Africa, Russia, Italy – and their feedback is really encouraging. We have put some of their very nice comments below, in the language they used writing them into the Guest Book.

Thank you to them all and we hope to see them again!

David, Michelle & their family, from England, August 2013, the third time this couple have been here.

Michael, Tina, Jana, Ben plus their doggies Bollo, Pino & Lola, 1 November 2014 (a German family with their other son Jacob, and they have come to us four times now)

Thanks for 14 perfect days.

Sarah, Chris, Jake (6) & Sammy (4), 16 – 30 August 2014 (an English family)

We have had an absolutely amazing time in the two weeks we have been here. We have done so much yet have never felt so relaxed. The kids have had such an enriching adventure, one they will remember for the rest of their lives, swimming in the pool, a trek to the top of the ‘mountain’, finding a spent bullet, hearing the owls, seeing wild boar, watching the insects.. wonderful adventures they have had!

Marlene, Clara, Ida & Lukas, 9 – 16 August 2014 (A family from Mainz in Germany)

We spent a fantastic week here in Les Escavalins which is a real oasis of tranquility. We loved being close to nature, so many different kinds of butterflies and watching the wild pigs eating apples in front of the house… Just perfect!

Richard, Caroline, Tom, Matthew & Alex, 2 – 9 August 2014 (An English family)

So wonderfully cut off from the rest of the world. The boys loved the visit to the cave which I’m sure they will remember for a long time…. Alas, tomorrow down the track and back to reality!

The scenic surroundings will stay with us for a very long time. The kids have kept an eye on your chickens for you ;)). We couldn’t imagine a more beautiful place on holiday in southern France.

Barry & Maureen Sternlieb, 5 – 12 October 2013 (an American couple from Richmond, USA)

Maureen and I had certain expectations… but had no idea how far they would be exceeded! The intense back-country beauty of its rugged surroundings, your patiently realized dream of a working olive farm, and your passion for restoring all the unique stone antiquity, well our stay here was truly unforgettable! … Everything about Les Escavalins makes us feel that we arrived at the right place at the right time, without a doubt, on the right “track”!

Alex, Steffi, Carl-Henri, Richardo, Petin, Ramona & Ulli, 17 – 31 August 2013 (a group of friends from Berlin)

Thanks for these wonderful days at your awesome farm. We’ll never forget the attention and kindness you gave to us. And we will come back when you have a dishwasher!    [which we do have now ;))  ]

David, Michelle, Faye, Katie & Lucy, 10 – 17 August 2013 (an English family which has come back since)

This place touches you like no other that we’ve been to. So much to see and experience. We leave here.. with many special memories; the scenery, the walks, the cave, the pool…

John et Pete, 29 September – 5 October 2012 ( Two from England)

We have had a simply fantastic time here in the hills. The gite is very cosy and we had all we needed. The views are stunning… as for the wildlife, hardly ‘out of season’! Still plenty of butterflies, good sightings of the

Bonelli’s eagle, and a couple of glimpses and lots of hoots from the Eagle Owl.

Lucy, Adam & Misty, 22 – 29 September 2012 (an English family)

Aside from the breathtaking scenery… is that this place feels like a home from home, rather than yet another holiday rental. The care and attention to detail has helped us feel so relaxed here.

Fred, Corinne, Mathilde et Amandine, & Thierry, Corine & Alicia, 28 avril – 5 May 2012 (two French families)

Kate & Rhys, 30 September 2011 (a young English couple)

Just a short note to say the blindingly obvious…. We had a truly amazing time here – you made us feel so welcome and yet were totally sensitive to the fact that all we wanted to do was spend time doing absolutely nothing… and some eating. And some more eating…

We are in love with this place. Thank you.

Camilla, Philip & their three children, Toby, Thea & Felix. 11 September 2011 (a family from Somerset in England)

What a fabulous week we have all had, the stillness, the heat and the silence have slowed us all down, let’s hope we can keep that with us!  We would love to come back to your home.

And finally, you have created a most wonderful place in the most extraordinary setting. Thank you for all your help, information and kindness. We really love it and look forward to coming back.

15Peter, Linda, Steve, Mandy & “les girls!”, 12 August 2011  (a family living in Geneva who come from South Africa)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the tranquility and peacefulness, the mistral wind and the relaxing atmosphere was just what we needed.

The location of the gite is great, and we had some lovely days out in St Tropez, Cannes, Nice and Monaco. The guide books in the gite were very helpful. You have created something special, the olive oil was amazing, as well as the marmalade and chutney…. We will definitely visit again.

Dan et Sharon and their children,  19 juin 2011 (Une famille Americaine qui venait de Chicago)

This was our first time renting property on a vacation and the experience was wonderful. Gerry and Mark were great to work with to secure the rental and they were great hosts.

They were certainly a significant factor in making our vacation a memorable experience for our family. We found the ambiance and tranquillity just what we needed.

Our dinners under the Provencial sky each evening made for a perfect ending of our days. The view of the stars at night is incredible.

Helen & four children, 26 July 2011 (an English family living in New York)

We absolutely adored Gerry and Mark’s gite. My friend Irene Boerings has an uncanny knack of finding the hippiest and most impressive places around the World (we have enjoyed getaways in Texas, Italy, Wales) and this has to be Irene’s best find yet. It was a mum’s and childrens’ holiday (husband’s both working), and we had seven children under nine and they were completely spoiled by both the location and by Mark and Gerry.

The gite is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. We all (nine) fitted in too!  Splendid views and an adventurous ride up from the village of Belgentier which the children and I loved.

Irene Boering and her three children, 19 August 2011  (Dutch family living in Cairo)

We absolutely loved our stay at Le Domaine! The location of this property is absolutely stunning and you immediately get the “back to nature” feel. The kids (all 7 of them, in the age group of 4-11) loved running around in new02the forest, discovering different herbs and learning about olives, playing in the pool, checking on the chickens and taking the dogs for a walk.

The adults enjoyed lazy afternoons by the pool with a glass of wine. And that’s just the property. There are all sort of fun activities in the vicinity of Le Domaine; Horse riding (an excellent facility and no tourists in sight), tree walks which the kids enjoyed so much that we literally had to drag them from the trees after a 5 hour climb, the little stream down in the village where the kids caught fish and swam & the nearby beaches of Porquerolles.

Our hosts were just wonderful & welcoming!  We strongly recommend a stay!
